Thankfully, having to worry about where you will get your next meal isn’t something everyone is forced to face. But for many, this is an everyday dilemma with seemingly no way out. We live in a country with so many resources and helping hands – there should be no excuse for someone to go hungry! This’s why we have decided to join hands with Lubbock Meals on Wheels (LMOW) to feed our community and combat hunger.
LMOW started in 1971 as a small group of volunteers with the goal of ending hunger in Lubbock. Since then, the organization has grown exponentially and now serves almost 900 meals a day! They work hard to provide nutritious, home-delivered meals to those who are homebound, elderly, or disabled. These individuals would otherwise have no other means to provide for themselves, and LMOW is there for them. But in order to continue serving our community, they need our help.
