I grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University. Wreck ’em! I started my insurance career as a claims representative for Aetna, where I spent two and a half years learning how claims really work from the inside. In 1996, I joined The Shropshire Agency as an agent, and today I serve as President of Shropshire Insurance of Texas. I love helping people, and I have the experience and the drive to help protect businesses and families from financial disasters.
I hold a Risk Manager’s license for the State of Texas . I’m also a co‑host and one of the owners of Risk Raiders, a Texas‑based podcast that uses real‑life stories to explore how people, families, and businesses face risk in everyday life. Risk Raiders is produced independently from Shropshire Insurance of Texas, but the conversations are shaped by many of the situations I’ve seen over my career.
I love being outside, especially if it includes spending time with my family. It could be mowing the yard, playing tennis with my son, or just lounging in a hot tub or swimming pool. I love to talk about lessons learned from Ted Lasso. I also enjoy music, especially live music, and I’ve been known to play the drums.
